GE Energy Offers New Program To Jointly Install Condition Monitoring And Oil Mist Systems ATLANTA, GA. (September 29, 2004) GE Energy today announced a new program to jointly install its System 1® software/ Bently Nevada® Trendmaster® Pro condition monitoring system and Lubrication Systems Company’s (LSC) LubriMist® oil mist system. The program is being offered to companies in the process industries, including hydrocarbon processing. The System 1 software platform is the host system for Trendmaster Pro hardware. LubriMist oil mist is a centralized system that continuously supplies oil mist lubrication to rotating equipment, often the same equipment monitored by System 1/Trendmaster Pro. Installing the systems together typically costs about 25 percent less than if the two systems were purchased and installed separately. GE Energy and LSC have been developing this cooperative program for more than a year. The Trendmaster Pro hardware or Dynamic Scanning Module was designed to provide cost-effective online condition monitoring for less-critical equipment. It uses an innovative architecture that links hundreds of permanently mounted transducers and measurement points onto a single-cable sensor network, and has the capability to interface the data directly to the customer’s control system as well as the System 1 platform. Wiring costs are dramatically reduced when compared to a conventional continuous monitoring system, yet individual measurement points can be scanned by the system every few minutes to provide quasi-continuous condition monitoring data on mechanical assets where data collector routes are not getting the job done. "The joint offering of GE Energy’s System 1/Trendmaster Pro condition monitoring system and LSC’s LubriMist oil mist system is a win-win solution for everyone involved,” said Ricardo Artigas, president of energy services for GE Energy. “The benefits of the System 1/Trendmaster Pro are extensive. When you couple those with the significant cost reductions customers receive by purchasing and installing these systems together, the customers get an improved return on their investment." Texas-based LSC is a global industrial company involved in the design, supply, installation and maintenance of centralized lubrication and oil purification systems for process industries and in particular those involved with hydrocarbon processing. LSC’s proprietary and patented technologies include LubriMist® oil mist systems and ThermoJet® oil purifiers.
