Design Philosophy

The GE10-2 is a two-shaft gas turbine with two high-pressure stages and two low-pressure stages. The cases are horizontally split and the rotor has a disk architecture. The combustion system consists of a horizontally/vertically positioned single can.

Compressor inlet guide vanes, combustion air split valve and variable area turbine nozzles provide high load and rotational speed flexibility.

The low-pressure turbine rotational speed (7900 rpm) is optimized to be coupled with GE Oil & Gas pipeline centrifugal compressors.

Both on-site maintenance and engine exchange approaches are available.

The GE10-2 package is specifically designed for all mechanical drive applications.

Applications

The GE10-2 package is designed for optimum performance in pipeline, re-injection and other oil and gas field services (on- and off-shore), as a pump drive, and also for power generation applications.

Both 50Hz CE Mark and 60Hz IEC/US Code versions are available.

Approximately 400,000 fired hours have been accumulated.

Testing Capabilities

GE10-2 engines can be Full Speed Full Load tested and a package mechanical running test prior to delivery is standard. A complete package string test can be provided on customer request.

Performance & Product Characteristics

The GE10-2 is available in Diffusion Combustion System and DLN (Dry Low NOx) versions (25ppm & 15 ppm), and is able to burn a wide range of liquid and gas fuels including Low BTU gas and hydrogen. A DLN Dual Fuel version is also available.

The Diffusion Combustion System shaft power output is 11.982MW (Shaft Eff. 33.3%); the Dry Low NOx electric shaft output is 11.615MW (Shaft Eff. 32.4%).
