If you have a Download Authorization Code from GE, you can get the latest software right away. Download MeterMate™ Meter Program Creation. OverviewThe task of generating a program for electronic meters can be a complicated one. Our MeterMate Program Creation software provides you with a solution to this problem. MeterMate is easy to use and makes the job of creating and maintaining programs for electronic meters quite simple. With MeterMate's Smart Programming, one program replaces hundreds of programs developed using competitive software. Read further and find out just how simple meter programming can be with GE Software and Smart Programming. Modular Program DevelopmentMeterMate Program Creation software allows you to create program building blocks from standard sets of related parameters. You can configure each of the parameters in a building block to make the meter work the way you want it to. These building blocks are then assigned names and saved in a database. To create a program, you select from the existing building blocks. Individual blocks can be shared across numerous programs. The currently available blocks are:
When creating programs in MeterMate, you work with a default rate type. Once the default rate type is selected, MeterMate customizes its behavior for that type of program. The following rate types may be selected: DemandThe simplest type of program is a demand program. When using one of these programs, your work is not complicated by unnecessary TOU schedules and calendars. Demand / Load Profile (LP)If you use GE kV Meters and MeterMate software, you don’t need separate programs for meters with and without load profile recording. You also don’t have to worry about the complexities of TOU programs just because you want recording. Just create one Demand meter program with recording and pulse initiator outputs. You can then use that program with all of your demand meters even those without option boards. What could be simpler? Time of Use / Load Profile (LP)If you want to take full advantage of a kV meter's capability, then select the TOU rate type. Software SecurityMeterMate gives you the flexibility and security to define the capabilities of each user that will operate the system. Access to the Reading and Programming software is fully configurable. All menu items may be made visible or not depending on the operator using the software at any point. Meter SecurityWith MeterMate Program Creation software you have full control over all your meters OPTOCOM security codes. You may define several sets of multi-level custom security codes for complete control over meter access. You may create separate security code levels for master users, meter readers, and end customers. Reading and Programming of MetersAll communication with our new electronic meters is facilitated by our MeterMate Reading and Programming software. This is a Windows based package , It also has a DOS based package designed for maximum compatibility with your existing base of field computers. Programs created by the MeterMate Program Creation Software (in Windows) are used by the MeterMate Reading and Programming software (in DOS) to control meter operation and Windows based Reading and Programming Software (MMCOMM). ReadingFull and partial reading of meters is supported. Meter data is stored in standard table form in (.HHF) files compatible with Utility Translation System's (UTS) MV-90 software produced by ITRON. ProgrammingWith MeterMate's MMDOS or MMCOMM - Reading and Programming software you can take program files developed with MeterMate's Program Creation software and download the information into meters. You can also use MeterMate to program a meter with a program read from a different meter. You can also set the time and date, and reconfigure certain aspects of meters without reprogramming them. Meter ReconfigurationChanging a kV meter's configuration without reprogramming eliminates the need to make special programs when a customer wants a different output or there's something unique at that location. And, you don’t have to worry about reprogramming errors affecting billing. Edit Meter ValuesMeterMate's new reconfigure menu gives you a solution when limitations in Billing Systems or the need for flexibility require you to change a meter's energy or demand values. You can also edit billing values in a kV Meter after testing if you're not using the Test Mode. Meter ResetsMeterMate provides several types of meter resets including Demand, Master Reset, Unprogramming, Modem Reset, and Battery Reset. Remote Meter AccessFull support for remote access to kV meters is provided through MeterMate's "Online" menu. You can dial up a remotely located meter, or wait for meters to call you, it's your choice. MeterMate also supports the kV's ability to share a single phone line among up to 5 meters! And you can directly access all 5 meters in a single phone call without any additional phone line sharing equipment. Test FunctionsMeterMate provides several functions to assist you in testing meter operation. You can put meters into their test mode. You can test the meter's battery, change the optical pulse type, and initiate a test call from a meter. If you use MeterMate there's no need to break seals and remove the cover to use the kV meter's Test Mode. Just use MeterMate to enter and exit the Test Mode. This is a GE exclusive that will save you time and money. Diagnostic FunctionsDiagnostic functions are provided for testing the quality of your communication (telephone or optical) channel. You can also view meter diagnostic and phasor information in real time on your computer screen. UpgradesFull support is provided for kV meter soft switches. ReportingOnce you have read a meter, several types of reports are available including:
File and Reading ToolsTools are provided to allow you to perform maintenance on your meter reading files. You can copy, move, and delete individual readings and reading files. Fitzall™ SupportUse kV Fitzall capability to standardize on 9S and 16S meters (or 10A and 16A) and program the metered service into the meter with MeterMate. |
