In addition to the process-critical equipment assets
found in industrial facilities, there are often a
host of essential and auxiliary assets that make up
the balance of the plant such as pumps, motors, blowers,
heat exchangers, fans, and others. This equipment
may be spared or not, and its impact on the process
stream varies from moderate to minor. Regardless,
such machines – just like their "critical"
counterparts – can benefit from condition monitoring.
GE offers affordable, effective portable, wireless
and permanent condition monitoring systems for BOP
assets.

System 1* PEMS Package for GE LM Gas Turbines
The System 1* Predictive Emissions Monitoring System (PEMS) is a software-only solution that provides a prediction on the level of emissions generated by GE LM2500 SAC gas turbines on many offshore platforms. It can predict with high accuracy the level of NOx, CO, CO2, SO2 and unburned hydrocarbon generated by these gas turbines based on ambient conditions, fuel composition and machine operating conditions while taking into account real time degradations. It leverages the Bently Nevada System 1 condition monitoring platform and is designed to be used outside of United States regulatory codes.

Coal Boiler Optimization
Coal Boiler Optimizer (CBO) is a software application designed to optimize fossil-fired units such as coal boilers and is based on GE’s ecomagination certified product Kn3*. It uses a combination of predictive models in combination with a flexible multi-objective optimizer to accomplish its goal. CBO is an online system that continuously retrains its models to reflect current operating conditions while the optimizer provides suggested boiler control set points that may be acted on by an operator in open loop fashion or in closed loop fashion with the plant’s distributed control system (DCS).
