Advanced GT Operations with Simulation Program Overview

What will I learn from this course?

This course is conducted under extreme GT operating conditions provided by simulation. It is designed to test and sharpen advanced operators skills for the purpose of trip reduction & recovery, maintaining optimum performance & availability and development of basic alarm troubleshooting skills. Advanced GT events as trips, load rejection, runback, shutdown and critical alarms will be central topics of this program. The course will also deal with the analysis of the Trip Log identifying possible causes of a trip and control system fundamentals. This course is hands on.

Experienced or qualified personnel whom have already completed an approved GT Operations or Familiarization course.

Day 2 Alarm Troubleshooting - Basic
For a given Alarm follow to the singular field device or cause

Day 3 Alarm Troubleshooting - High Speed Data Collection & Analysis (Trender)
Capture data from multiple causes to identify the singular cause

Day 4 Advanced GT Events - Shutdowns, Runback & Load Rejection, Maintaining Optimum Performance
Experience advanced GT events, proper response, troubleshoot cause

Day 5 Advanced GT Events - Trips
Trip recovery, determining cause of a Not Ready to Start
Evaluation & Analysis of Trip Log
