LM2500 Level 2 Cold Maintenance

What will I learn from this course?

Instruction is designed so technical personnel responsible for the hands- on maintenance of the LM2500 will benefit most from this training. Scope of training focuses on selected Level 2 procedures identified in the applicable Operations and Maintenance manual.

Who should attend?

This course is intended for customers who want to expand their on-site/shipboard maintenance capabilities to include internal repairs of the GE LM2500 aeroderivitive gas turbine.

Prerequisites

A basic understanding of your gas turbine or completion of the LM2500 Familiarization course is highly recommended, as well as a reasonable level of mechanical skill and use of hand tools is required. Instruction is given in English; therefore, a reasonable ability to read and understand spoken English is required.

Day 1-2 Use of applicable Operation and Maintenance manuals
  Removal, inspection and installation of internal engine components including:
Radial Drive shaft
Inlet gearbox
Accessory Gearbox
Front Frame
#3 bearing inner race

Day 3-5 Removal, inspection and installation of internal engine components including:
  High Pressure Compressor Case
High Pressure Compressor rotor blades
Static balance program
