Machinery Diagnostics Courses - Machinery Fundamentals

Machinery Fundamentals / Applied Diagnostics

Engineers and technicians involved in the analysis and interpretation of vibration data will appreciate this course. Students will review the different machine types commonly encountered in industry as well as the characteristics of design and construction that influence behavior under both normal and malfunction conditions. This course helps new machinery diagnosticians gain knowledge and confidence. Experienced diagnosticians gain additional insight needed to efficiently solve complex machinery problems.

Course Objectives
Upon completion of the course, students will be able to:
  • Analyze actual machine case histories using the most advanced diagnostic tools available.
  • Organize data in plot formats indicative of the machinery fault for:
    - Pumps
    - Steam turbines
    - Gas turbines
    - Generators
    - Compressors
    - Motors
Course Length
  • 3 - 5 days (Depending on the case histories covered)
Materials Provided
  • Training manual
  • Lab tations with all hardware
