Plant Maintenance Service Contracts

Broad Scope of Services

The procurement policies and expectations of companies in the energy market demand that maintenance downtime of plants be optimized using advanced approaches such as the reliability theory of maintenance engineering. Moreover, industrial financial management seeks all-inclusive payment rules covering fixed costs and unscheduled events.

GE offers maintenance service contracts that cover a broad scope of services and offer guarantees to meet diverse business needs.

In the oil and gas and power generation industries, more than 1,200 GE and other OEM units are covered by contractual service agreements. About ten percent of the agreements cover entire process units, consisting of rotating equipment, static equipment and auxiliary systems.

With reliability, availability and maintainability (RAM) engineering support, maintenance equipment plans are tailored based on the machinery’s criticality and operation conditions. Each contract has its own project manager to provide headquarters support for technical assistance, emergency requests, reporting and parts warehousing.
